- Well, I wish I had a good answer for you. All I know is that the code is
- not allowed to be sent outside US/Canada. Actually, there is some
- internal debate as to whether it can even be distributed to Canada.

- The fact remains, nothing is wrong with the code itself or USR wouldn't
- be giving it out to people in their largest market. And these
- restrictions cover every line, from the low end Sportsters to the
- MEGA$$$ Total Control units.

- The only thing I find puzzling in all this is why you find the legality
- excuse a little concerning. It's something nobody has any control over.
- If you want the code, just call the 800 support number and they will
- send it to you, at their expense, not yours.

- If you already have the latest code, don't worry about it, nobody is
- going to come to your house and reprogram your modem.
